When clocks go back

A repeated local time has two different UTC offsets. Skipped local times must be changed before conversion.

WHY THE DATE MATTERS

Clocks change.
Your plan should keep up.

A time zone is a set of clock rules, not a fixed offset. London and New York do not always change their clocks on the same dates, so their time difference can vary during the year.

Choose a city or IANA identifier for each location. The converter uses the selected date and your browser’s time-zone rules through Temporal. If clocks skip the entered time, choose another time. If clocks repeat it, choose the earlier or later occurrence.

The planner checks starts at 30-minute intervals across the starting location’s date. It only suggests slots where the entire meeting fits within every location’s chosen working hours. Working days are editable, and overnight schedules are supported. Public holidays are not automatically excluded.

GOOD TO KNOW

A few useful answers.

Can I use the tool just to convert a time?

Yes. Enter the date, time and locations, then select Convert time. The cards show the start and end in every location, even if the meeting is outside someone’s working hours.

How are shared meeting times selected?

The planner considers starts every 30 minutes on the first location’s date. The full meeting must fit within a selected working day and working-hours interval for every location. It does not inspect calendars or know whether a person is busy.

What if someone works overnight?

Set an end time earlier than the start time, such as 22:00 to 06:00. The interval continues into the following date. The selected working day is the day the shift starts.

Does the calendar file send an invitation?

No. The download is an ICS event with exact UTC start and end times, a title and the local-time summary. Import it into your calendar yourself. No attendees, emails or automatic reminders are added.

Why does a city sometimes have a different time difference?

Daylight-saving rules and government time-zone changes can change the offset. Calculations use the time-zone data available in your browser. Keep your browser and device current when planning dates affected by recent rule changes.

Are my meeting details saved?

No. Locations, working hours and titles stay in the open page. Refreshing clears the plan. You can copy the summary or explicitly download a calendar event.
