A LITTLE CONTEXT GOES A LONG WAY
Website codes contain the full http or https address you enter. Contact cards contain your name and the optional business, email, phone and website fields in vCard format. The code embeds these details directly; it does not point to a hosted profile on Ostro.
PNG works well in documents, presentations and digital materials. SVG stays sharp when resized and is useful for print artwork. The code keeps a white quiet zone around its edges so scanners can identify it. Avoid cropping that margin or placing artwork over the pattern.
Scan the downloaded file on another device and check that the destination or contact details are correct. More data creates a denser pattern and may require a larger printed size. Static codes cannot be edited after printing: create a new code when the encoded information changes. A website code still depends on its destination remaining available.
