BEFORE THE WORK BEGINS
A price.
And what’s included.
Choose Quote or Estimate, describe the work, enter your agreed currency, and give the document a validity date. Add quantities, unit prices, applicable tax rates and any discount.
Use the notes to explain scope, deliverables and timing. If you request a deposit, the preview shows its amount as part of the total. Your acceptance instructions and commercial terms belong in the additional terms field.
Once you are ready to invoice, use the invoice generator. To work out your starting price, try the freelance rate calculator.
GOOD TO KNOW
A few useful answers.
Can I create both quotes and estimates?
Yes. Select the document type in the editor. The PDF title changes to match. Explain the scope, assumptions and acceptance process in your own terms; the title alone does not define the agreement.
Does the deposit increase the total?
No. The requested deposit is a percentage of the total after discount and tax. It is shown separately as an amount within that total. No payment is collected by this tool.
How do I export the quote?
Select Export PDF and choose Save as PDF in your browser’s print dialog. Match the A4 or US Letter size selected in the editor and switch off browser headers and footers.
Are my client details or quotes saved?
No. Details and logos stay in the open page. Refreshing or leaving clears your work. Export the PDF before you leave and send it through your own communication channel.
Does changing the currency convert the prices?
No. The currency identifies the amounts you enter and determines rounding precision. Changing it does not apply an exchange rate.
