A LITTLE CONTEXT GOES A LONG WAY
A purchase order is created by the buyer to describe what they want to purchase. Add a unique reference, order date, buyer and supplier details. Delivery instructions should say where and when goods or services are expected, including a contact or project reference where useful.
Add clear descriptions, quantities, agreed unit prices and any applicable tax rate. The tool rounds each line to the selected currency’s smallest unit. A percentage discount is applied to each line before its entered tax. All line totals are then added; the currency selector does not convert amounts.
Check your quantities, terms and delivery instructions before exporting. Send the PDF to your supplier and keep their acknowledgment with your records. A purchase order does not record a completed payment. Use an invoice to request payment and a receipt to acknowledge a payment received.
